一番初めは自社HPと弊社クライアントの輸出商品用の海外向けLPを作成する委託先を探すため、自身のスリランカ在住の友人から紹介を受けたのが当時フリーランスで現SoftSora CEOのNilanでした。依頼側の意図した内容の制作に加えて、良い提案を頂きながらリアルタイムに進められた良い印象があります。

SoftSora社を紹介いただいた当時は、複数のお客様の開発案件をディレクションしながら、同時に自社が出展する大型展示会向けのインパクトあるARコンテンツも準備しなければならず、限られた人員と時間でこれら双方をこなす必要がありました。お恥ずかしながら、私自身も手一杯で、まさに猫の手も借りたいという状況でした。そんな折にスリランカ企業とのマッチングの話が舞い込み、まさに渡りに船と感じました。とはいえ、お客様の案件に、実力の未知数な海外企業をいきなり参加させるのはリスクが高いと判断しました。一方で、自社の展示会用ARコンテンツ制作であれば、まずは試せるのではないかと考え、半ば強引に社内を説得し、スリランカとの協業に踏み切った次第です。
